Within GPPM, the PPM Platform team plays a critical role to connect the dots across our systems, data and process to unlock new insights and enhance ways of working across the PPM domain.

What You’ll Do

As an Intern within the GPPM Platform team, you will gain hands-on experience with data and systems that span the entire AstraZeneca R&D landscape, including project management, governance operations, portfolio, and capacity management systems. You will work as part of a high-performing team, helping to maximize portfolio delivery by ensuring high data quality across the Platform, managing issue remediation and providing insightful reporting to the Leadership Team on progress, among other responsibilities.

This internship provides an opportunity to deliver impactful data-driven insights and drive operational efficiencies across AstraZeneca’s Global Portfolio & Project Management (GPPM) function. The role is ideal for students or recent graduates with a strong interest in data analytics, systems integration, and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and report data across key PPM platform technologies (e.g. Planisware, Planview, custom Sharepoint Online, Power Platform, etc).

• Support continuous improvement processes by categorizing and tracking requests using JIRA and internal workflows.

• Develop and maintain dashboards to improve data quality efforts.
  Participate in weekly team meetings and cross-functional workshops to understand strategic priorities and foster collaboration.

• Providing direct end user support

• Document and refine business processes related to governance, project management, portfolio, and capacity management analytics.

Essential Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.

• Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).

• Exposure to project management tools and platforms (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

• Strong analytical and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
