Role Summary:

In the midst of significant expansion and a robust pipeline of forthcoming oncology product launches, our Oncology Business Unit is seeking a dedicated individual to enhance our operations. The role of Oncology Operations Coordinator marries operational support with project management, complemented by specific administrative tasks.

Your primary responsibilities will include supporting business execution excellence across the OBU; inclusive of providing project management support for product launches, coordination for major oncology conferences, managing key meetings and events,and aiding in change management. Each of these tasks is essential to maintain the efficiency and effectivenessof our dynamic unit during this pivotal growth phase.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with our Senior Manager, Business Planning, you will:

  • Deliver operational and project management support for the Oncology Business Unit including supporting the maintenance of Business Continuity Plans, OBU Knowledge Repository, and supporting across key initiatives as needed.

  • Provide project management support for key product launches, ensuring timely execution and adherence to standards.

  • Manage and coordinate attendance at major oncology conferences, overseeing all logistical requirements.

  • Collaborate with our finance team to ensure conference and team business plans are leveraged in managing team carbon use as part of our commitment to sustainability.

  • Support and lead the coordination of various team activities including key meetings,offsites, awards submissions, country visit logistics, and departmental events.

  • Act as the primary liaison between Compliance, Medical Ethics, and the Oncology Business Unit, ensuring all processes and documentation align with compliance standards.

  • Support oncology leadership meetings with critical agenda/calendarization management and note taking

  • Lead the support for the Alliance business including chairing meetings, managing agendas and coordinating event support as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Undergraduate degree (science, business, or engineering preferred) or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Project Management certification would be an asset (completed or in progress) or expressed interest in the area.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.

  • Event management, meeting facilitation skills and passion for facilitation excellence an asset.

  • Proficiency with project management software/tools (such as Smartsheet).

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Technically proficient in leveraging zoom/conference software for meeting execution (including breakout work and large-scale conferences).

  • Interest in application of evolving technology, like AI, in optimizing business execution (eg. Microsoft Copilot) an asset.

  • Knowledge or interest in the field of oncology is an advantage.

What to Expect:

This position will be based in our Mississauga head office and allow for flexible working arrangements working both onsite (2-3 times per week) and virtually.
