Market Access Associate
Introduction to role:
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in optimizing reimbursement for AstraZeneca’s Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit portfolio? As a Market Access Associate, you'll support the Market Access Strategy teams and lead the execution of various reimbursement initiatives. Dive into the dynamic world of market access and make a tangible impact on patient access to life-changing medicines!
Accountabilities:
- Support the development and delivery of market access strategy including CDA, INESSS, Provincial and Private Payer submissions, through to formulary listing.
- Support cross-functional development and execution of key strategic imperatives aligned with our reimbursement objectives.
- Lead the execution of other ad-hoc market access projects as needed, including planning tasks, gathering relevant data, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
- Actively monitor and track the environment for competitor and HTA-related developments that may impact the current and future AZC portfolio.
- Participate in local, national, and global-cross functional teams to address and support market access needs within the business.
- Responsible for collecting and reporting Adverse Events in accordance with AstraZeneca policies and procedures.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelors’ degree in science or business
- 1+ years of Pharmaceutical experience and/or 1+ years Market Access experience
- Energized by working with ambiguity and complexity
- Strong analytics skills and attention to details
- Strong communication skills: interpersonal, writing, and presentation
- High degree of initiative and sense of urgency with an ability to manage multiple priorities of significant scope in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and basic analytics platforms
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Advanced degree preferred
- Experience in market access, regulatory, new product planning, pricing, evidence generation, or commercial with in-depth knowledge of the Canadian drug reimbursement landscape (HTA and pCPA processes, public/private payers, health policies)
- Knowledge of CDA, INESSS, and pCPA processes, as well as public domain tools used for tracking information such as formulary listings and pCPA updates, considered a strong asset.
- French considered an asset
