Introduction to role:
Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of business analysis? As an IT Business Analyst at AstraZeneca, you'll be at the forefront of inspiring change and innovation. Whether you're leading small to medium-sized projects or contributing to global initiatives, your role will be pivotal in crafting business processes and solutions. You'll collaborate closely with the Business Relationship Manager to craft high-quality reasons and designs that align with AstraZeneca's standards and strategic goals. Your expertise will be shared across communities of practice, improving our internal IT processes and standards.
Accountabilities:
In this dynamic role, you'll engage in sophisticated business analysis activities, including:
Identifying business needs and areas for improvement, proactively seeking opportunities to improve strategic goals.
Planning and managing analysis approaches, ensuring deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards.
Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, contributing to communication plans and change management.
Managing requirements, translating them into design specifications, and partnering with the Architecture team for technical solutions.
Defining cases with detailed justification for investment, including ROI and benefits realization.
Evaluating solutions, assessing business readiness, and increasing value versus spend.
You'll work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure solutions meet strategic needs, support business process changes, and optimize performance. Your role will also involve defining testing approaches and supporting change management plans.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Proven experience deploying business analysis tools/techniques for business change
Experience with sophisticated coordinated systems using creative and strategic thinking
Strong engagement, communication, and stakeholder leadership skills
Experience in a regulated environment
Virtual collaboration experience for innovative solutions
Mentoring, coaching, or developing others
Managing third-party suppliers/vendors
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Degree in relevant discipline or formal certification in business analysis practice
Lean SIGMA training
Practical usage of Agile Methodology
Experience in a global organization with sophisticated/geographical context
Pharmaceutical business awareness/business domain knowledge
Cross-industry business awareness/business domain knowledge
