Introduction to role:

Are you ready to lead a ground-breaking journey in learning and development? We are searching for a dynamic and innovative leader to drive the learning, development, and culture initiatives across Global Portfolio & Project Management (GPPM), Business Development Operations (BDO), and Deal Finance. As the champion of the Global Project Leader (GPL) Excellence Academy, you will empower GPLs across R&D and Commercial to present compelling cases to executive leaders. This pivotal role involves partnering with leadership teams to craft and implement a learning strategy that fosters professional growth and cultivates a high-performing mentality. Reporting to the Senior Director, Pipeline Governance and Operating Model Lead, you will spearhead the GPPM learning and cultural transformation strategy. With your expertise in adult learning and curriculum design, you will create engaging training solutions that align with strategic priorities and reinforce team DNA. Collaborate with a diverse team of leaders at the heart of enterprise strategy and decision-making, while advancing talent development and capability building.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the implementation of leadership development programs within GPPM.

  • Develop tailored learning programs reflecting GPPM’s strategic priorities.

  • Design impactful GPPM Connect & Learn sessions with subject matter experts.

  • Partner with GPPM HR Business Partner and BPO for Leadership Excellence training programs.

  • Establish best methodology sharing forums across GPPM.

  • Be responsible for program design, logistics, delivery, and success measures with vendors.

  • Provide timely updates on learning programs to leadership.

  • Lead the Global Product Leader (GPL) Excellence Academy with immersive development programs.

  • Plan and implement the GPL Enterprise Acumen Forum for peer-to-peer learning.

  • Design and run the GPPM Plan100 program for experience sharing and learning.

  • Lead the Discovering Drug Project Management (DDPM) internship program.

  • Handle budgets for all learning and development programs.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • 8+ years in learning and development or talent and development experience

  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills; ability to simplify sophisticated messages and inspire audiences at all levels

  • Passionate about learning and development

  • Demonstrated ability to lead without authority

  • Strategic and innovative problem solver with shown ability to transform broad strategies into operational implementations that deliver sustained impact

  • Agile leader comfortable navigating ambiguity, adapting strategies accordingly, and driving results efficiently and purposefully

  • Ability to influence, handle conflicting priorities, stakeholder & colleague expectations and deliver consistently high-quality outputs

  • Strong project management skills, working efficiently to deliver under tight timeframes

  • Ability to work in a global matrixed environment

  • A proactive self-starter and inclusive leader who advocates collaboration, openness, inclusion, and continuous learning as core organizational values

  • Effectively cope with change

  • Can adeptly delegate and manage 3rd parties to deliver outputs

  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Sciences

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Master's or MBA
