Accountabilities:

As an Administrative Coordinator, you will provide high-level, comprehensive support to our senior leaders and talented team members. Your responsibilities will encompass daily operations, complex coordination, and special project leadership. You will manage executive calendars, organize meetings across time zones, arrange domestic and international travel, and handle expense reporting. Your role will be crucial in facilitating the smooth operation of the team with expert logistical support, monitoring attendance compliance, and leading initiatives that promote sustainability and efficiency. Additionally, you will actively engage in business operations—coordinating information, generating reports, reconciling data, resolving queries, and ensuring alignment with AstraZeneca’s standards. Your expertise will be essential in supporting project management and financial activities while maintaining confidentiality and acting independently. By fostering collaboration across teams and delivering professional, proactive solutions, you’ll help us set the pace in a fast-evolving, science-led environment. You will be pivotal in providing onsite support and building a community of professionals across Oncology R&D as the Mississauga site continues to grow and develop into a key site for the team.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred)

  • 5–7 years’ experience providing administrative support to senior leaders or executives, preferably within a large, complex, matrixed organization

  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry is highly regarded

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and familiarity with tools like Concur, Coupa, and SharePoint

  • Proven strengths in multitasking, prioritization, and project management, with the ability to coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously

  • Keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to resolve complex issues with creativity and discretion

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels, including executives

  • Experience in office management, vendor coordination, and process improvement

  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and anticipate team and business needs
