MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Medical Oncology Project manager  Oncology and Haematology , you will report to the Oncology Medical Affairs Head, leading projects in GI, GynGU and Haematology  disease area, cross portfolio and cross all products ‘ indications, at National and field level, from initiation to implementation within agreed constraints of time, budget and quality. You will shape solutions and ensure that the requirements are effectively captured and have a basic knowledge of different solutions that could support project. You will be responsible for risk management, benefits & value management, and as appropriate you will resolve or escalate identified risks and issues.

The role broadly includes the following key components:

  • Accountability for the delivery of scientific projects on time and on budget, in aligment with the Medical Plans/Field Medical Plans led by Medical Advisors and/or MSLs respectively, and with the key priorities of the  therapeutic area. It means considering activities, resources, costs, roles, responsibilities and quality assurance and other activities:
  • Organization of project work plans and reviews to meet changing needs and requirements
  •  Work in close collaboration with MSLs and Medical Advisors to manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a scientific project and scope to ensure project completion and meeting project deadlines
  • Provide regular and timely updates to the  Medical Teams
  • Management of relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are effectively captured and committed to project objectives
  • Control and ensure that the impact and changes resulting from scientific projects/activities are effectively communicated to the teams
  • Cooperation to create project teams, encouraging teamwork and collaboration
  • Check on the completeness, updating and archiving of project documents
  • Managing all activities and Account relationship according with Company Values, Code of Conduct, Guidelines/Internal procedures and Italian legislation

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Scientific degree
  • Experience of managing projects/programmes or in a similar role
  • Strategic thinking and influencing
  • Analytical skills
  • Proactive approach and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Team working attitude
  • Planning and budgeting skills
  • Written and Spoken proficiency in both English and Italian

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience of working in an organisation with complex  context
  • Experience of working with third party suppliers
  • Previous experience in the Oncology therapeutic area
