Full-time | 24‑month contract
Monday to Friday | 7am‑3pm
Location: North Ryde (Sydney NSW) | On‑site parking and close to public transport
Competitive pay: From $29.03 per hour + super + shift loading, and allowances as applicable.

What you’ll do
As a Pharmaceutical Cleaner, you will be key to maintaining the cleanliness and safety required for our products. With guidance and training from the Cleaning Supervisor, your main duties will include:
- Following strict cleaning schedules for different areas of the factory, including both production and office spaces, to meet high hygiene standards
- Cleaning areas to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards—these are guidelines we use to make sure medicines are produced in a clean environment
- Using and caring for powered cleaning equipment (training provided)
- Managing waste and recycling following our sustainability goals
- Filling in cleaning records and logbooks after your shift so we can track and check our standards
- Supporting regular hygiene audits to keep our cleaning on track and ready for inspection
- Following clear rules for security and reporting any incidents or accidents
- Working well in a team and communicating effectively with others
Essential for the Role
- Previous experience in a cleaning role (hospitals, food manufacturing, hotels, aged care, or any highly regulated environment)
- Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive work, lifting, and using cleaning equipment
- Basic confidence using computers or mobile devices (for training or filling out forms)
- Reliable, hard-working, and ready to work as part of a team
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Knowledge or experience in either the Pharmaceutical, Food production cleaning or in hospital, hotels, or aged care settings
- Some understanding of either Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance in cleaning or HACCP (food safety guidelines) or experience supporting hygiene inspection - full training provided for those new to this area
- Comfortable working with cleaning schedules and tick-lists to keep on top of daily jobs
The Recruitment Process
The Recruitment Assessment Process can take from 1-3 weeks from start to completion based on your availability.
The full assessment process is outlined below.
- Phone interview with our recruitment team (30 mins)
- Onsite visit to 47 Talavera Road - the visit will include:
- a practical assessment
- in-person interview with the Cleaning Supervisor
- medical check.
**Please allow up to 2 hours**
- Background checks and references: As part of our compliance process successful candidates will be asked to provide several verification documents before a formal offer can be made.
- Please have these ready to load into our online Hireright portal at the end of the recruitment process.
- The documents will include:
- 2 references and verification of employment from previous employers
- 100 points of ID (passport, driver’s license, proof of address),
- A Police Check and Animal Rights check are also conducted which you can complete by filling out an online form.
