What you’ll do
As a Microbiologist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. You'll be responsible for conducting microbiological quality control testing on raw materials, water, bulk, and finished products, as well as monitoring the microbiological environment and personnel. Your work will ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements, ultimately contributing to the health and well-being of patients worldwide.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and provide sterile manufacturing support.
- Perform in-process and sterility testing in compliance with GMP requirements.
- Perform basic lab techniques and support stability studies.
- Support production line and product development activities.
- Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Prepare and test microbiological media, ensuring availability and compliance with standards.
- Accurately document lab activities in line with GLP/GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Train and support team members in lab techniques and GMP practices.
Essential for the role
- Tertiary qualification in Science, majoring in Microbiology or a related scientific discipline
- Scientific background relevant to microbiology and pharmaceutical laboratory work
- Knowledge and experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
- Strong understanding of microbiological testing and analysis
- Proficient in written and spoken English, with strong technical report writing capability.
- Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Desirable for the role
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles and concepts of compliance management and Good Manufacturing Practice/Good Laboratory Practice
- Knowledge and understanding of Safety, Health and Environment
- Competent in problem-solving and microbiological risk analysis
