What you’ll do
As our onsite electrician, you’ll maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems supporting pharmaceutical production, cleanrooms, and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). You’ll ensure GMP compliance, install energy-efficient solutions, and respond quickly to minimise downtime—keeping operations safe, stable, and ready to deliver life-saving medicines with precision and reliability.
Maintain and improve complex electrical and control systems at our manufacturing site, ensuring safety, GMP, and legislative compliance.
Advise manufacturing teams and lead continuous improvement across the facility.
Perform fault-finding and maintenance per procedures and safety standards, keeping systems in validated condition.
Develop expertise of current site-specific electrical and control technologies, SOPs, and maintenance instructions.
Prioritise workload and collaborate with managers to meet project timelines.
Complete admin tasks including reporting, purchasing, and quality actions in SAP.
Ensure compliance with all systems, processes, and statutory requirements.
Essential for the role
Recognised Australian electrical trade qualification and current electrical license
Completion of post-trade training in electronics or instrumentation
Proven experience in industrial maintenance environments
Hands-on knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens or B&R preferred)
Competent computing skills for diagnostics and reporting
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and eye examination to confirm physical fitness
Desirable for the role
Demonstrates strong ownership of tasks and accountability for outcomes
Eager to learn and committed to continuous skill development
Experience with SCADA systems and industrial automation
Familiarity with robotics and servo drive technologies
Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative
Highly adaptable and flexible across diverse operational requirements
