What you’ll do 

An exciting opportunity for a Director, Site Management and Monitoring is currently available within ANZ Clinical Research team, reporting to the SMM Oncology Country Head. As the Director Site Management & Monitoring (DSMM) you will deliver the committed part of all clinical interventional studies under your supervision according to agreed resources, budget and timelines complying with AZ Procedural Documents, international guidelines such as ICH-GCP as well as relevant local regulations.

You will manage a dedicated team and will be responsible for planning and utilisation of staff resources, assigned budget, objective setting and performance follow-up. You will ensure that study sites are identified, site qualifications performed, set up, initiated, monitored, closed and documentation archived. As the DSMM you may also contribute to regional/global work tasks as delegated.

This is an initial12 month maximum term contract role to be based in Sydney. 

Essential for the role:

  • Bachelor’s of Science in an appropriate discipline

  • Extensive experience in Study Management within a pharmaceutical or clinical background

  • Thorough knowledge of Study Management processes and local regulations

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills


Desirable for the role:

  • Advanced degree in a scientific discipline

  • Expert reputation within the business and industry

  • Extensive knowledge of the latest technical and regulatory expectations
