TPM Autonomous Maintenance Facilitator
TPM Autonomous Maintenance Facilitator
Location: Macclesfield
Type: Permanent
Introduction to role:
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a core component of our AstraZeneca Supply System (AZSS), helping to create the equipment reliability and people capability needed to enable the delivery of more medicines to more patients, more quickly and more affordably. Reporting to the TPM Lead, TPM Facilitators use the AstraZeneca TPM deployment model to drive the behaviours, principles, standards, and tools of TPM across our process execution teams at our Macclesfield Campus.
Accountabilities:
You'll be accountable for defining and managing project delivery across multiple assets and reporting progress and critical metrics to key partners. You’ll train, coach, and influence our production teams to embed TPM into standard work with the purpose of delivering tangible improvement in capabilities, behaviours and ultimately performance improvement of key assets. Lean transformation is not static and evolves as we mature. Hence our TPM deployment approach must also evolve. We'll ask you to be an active contributor to the evolution of TPM to ensure it remains aligned to business priorities. We'll need you to be passionate about digital to support AstraZeneca's aspiration to accelerate the use of digital solutions to improve the efficiency of the AZSS.
What you'll do:
You'll deploy TPM in a coordinated way across the Campus as an Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Facilitator. This will involve driving measurable business improvement using TPM methodologies by bringing to life, real business experiences and TPM expertise with a mixture of training, mentoring, and influencing. You will be a TPM champion - through role modelling, coaching and facilitation. In this role, you will work closely with Business-As-Usual (BAU) production leadership and operators to build and refine autonomous maintenance strategies using TPM methodology. This collaboration is crucial to ensure that production practices are aligned with robust TPM strategies. Your technical credibility in the production space will be key to influencing and, where required, challenging current practices to bring them in-line with industry-leading TPM strategies. The role is highly practical, focusing on:
- Safety maps
- Quality maps
- Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication, and Tightening (CILT)
- Eliminate, Contain, Reduce, Simplify (ECRS)
- Centre-lining
- Continuous improvement initiatives
You will be involved in hands-on activities that ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of our production processes. Your work will directly impact the reduction of downtime and improvement of process performance, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. You will work with the global TPM Network team, helping to shape and develop the TPM approach for the future. You'll collaborate with regional and site Lean leads/process champions to ensure TPM isn’t a one-off event but becomes important to us.
