As an Associate Director in Contract Management, you'll be part of the Facilities Management Function, providing professional support to our Macclesfield Campus. Join the FM Critical Hard Service Governance Team and contribute to delivering a World Class service while ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and GMP requirements. Your role is pivotal in maintaining stable and reliable operations.

Accountabilities:

Take charge and lead with confidence! As part of your role, you'll ensure commitments to the organization and colleagues are consistently met.

  • Integrate Operational Excellence into team responsibilities, embracing continuous improvement and a "Right First Time From Me" attitude.

  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal customers and suppliers to achieve AstraZeneca's goals.

  • Step in for the Associate Director of the FM Hard Services Governance Team when needed.

The role holder will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating closely with the FM Hard Services Governance Team to scope, review, award service contracts, and support ongoing governance of key service providers.

  • As a Procurement specialist, collaborate with Finance and Procurement functions to boost value from external spend through continuous improvement.

  • Leading interactions between the FM Hard Services Governance Team, AstraZeneca collaborators, and service delivery organisational.

  • Offering mentorship and support within your field of expertise to team members, internal customers, and collaborators.

  • Championing the FM Integrated Management system through proactive ownership and continuous improvement activities.

  • Managing multiple supplier teams and influencing across various organisational levels.

  • Collaborating with the Facilities Management Leadership Team to develop strategic implementation plans supporting the Long Range Operating Plan (LROP).

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Ideally degree qualified within Procurement subject area and/or several years' experience in contracts management

  • Strong negotiation skills and business insight

  • Relevant Procurement education and/or experience

  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical operations and GxP

  • Ability to engage, interact and appropriately challenge with multiple customers at different levels across the business.

  • Good knowledge of engineering terminology

  • Good understanding of procurement and financial processes

  • Demonstrated success working in a team environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to manage customer’s expectations and provide a professional level of customer service.

  • Ability to network internally & externally and to translate this in to tangible business improvements

  • Working experience within Facilities Management

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Ideally degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering / Facilities Management Subject Area.

  • Previous experience of working in the Pharmaceutical and/or Health Care industry. Alternatively experience of working in a complex multinational, multicultural environment.

This role is being offered on a 2 years Fixed Term Contract/Fixed Term Opportunity.
