This role demands collaboration with partners across the organization, balancing technical expertise with strong communication and change management skills to drive user adoption and facilitate organisational transformation. Can you assess customer maturity in AI and adapt your approach to emphasise either technical leadership or interpersonal skills for successful delivery? Your mission will include AI product lifecycle management, establishing governance frameworks, adhering to regulatory standards, and overseeing strategies to build data science and AI competencies at scale. Community management is central: you'll run knowledge-sharing sessions, cultivate a network of champions, and spotlight emerging talent.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of organisational AI and data science learning strategies—including formal training, workshops, hackathons, and events.
  • Act as the voice of the business to prioiritise building what matters most to enable the strategic goals of PT&D.
  • Be a strategic partner and advocate for AI products within and beyond the PT&D organization.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise standards and priorities through close collaboration with other AI Product Managers.
  • Promote the adoption and use of AI products across business units, driving cultural and operational change in how data is used.
  • Define and track key AI adoption metrics to evaluate impact and inform future initiatives.
  • Develop and sustain an engaging community of practice, including regular sharing sessions, communications, and knowledge exchanges.
  • Identify skills gaps, benchmark industry trends, and guide learning interventions to support professional growth and business priorities.
  • Act as a thought leader and visible ambassador for the AI and data science community, championing best practice and innovation.
  • Create, curate, and deliver impactful content and communications for different audiences, including executive leaders, technical specialists, and general staff.
  • Promote continuous learning and development in AI technologies, fostering increased adoption and effective utilisation of AI tools across the organization.
  • Drive the organization-wide adoption of the data science platform across PT&D.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive migration plans to transition existing data science tools and workflows onto the centralised data science platform.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience working in or directly supporting CMC drug development in the pharma industry is desirable
  • Expertise in designing and delivering learning experiences, training, or events for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in AI Product Management.
  • Experience bringing innovation to bear on solving complex and multi-dimensional issues from an operational, technical, financial, and human perspective.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to influence, inspire, and lead change at all levels.
  • Extensive experience in leading or managing AI and data science capability-building programs, preferably in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Deep understanding of data science, machine learning, and AI concepts; practical proficiency in at least one data science subject area desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in community management and partnership development.
  • Skilled in using Agile tools (e.g., Jira) and methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and agility to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Solid understanding of software development processes, cloud technologies, APIs, and system architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify relevant data sources and establish robust data pipelines.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing competing priorities.
