What You’ll Do

As a Medical Information Specialist, you will play a key role in how healthcare professionals and patients receive information about our medicines. We turn data into knowledge, answer complex enquiries, and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues in delivering the best of AstraZeneca. You will provide a second-line medical information service as well as collaborate with other members of the business to deliver digital content on our dedicated Med Info websites. Every day, we work together to respond, adapt, and innovate.

We:

  • Deliver timely and accurate scientific and technical information to our internal and external customers, meeting all regulatory and company standards.

  • Create and maintain clear, relevant materials for our Med Info websites for healthcare professionals and patients, and take part in awareness activities or campaigns.

  • Work closely with medical, sales, and global partners to share expertise and contribute insights that shape our brand strategies.

  • Work with Medical Affairs to manage AstraZeneca UK’s free of charge schemes on a named patient basis, medicines reach those in need in a timely manner.

  • Uphold compliance by following all procedures, participating in quality activities, and helping to manage the first-line Med Info vendor.

  • Participate in and sometimes lead projects that push our Medical Information capabilities forward and have a strong focus on efficiency and innovation.

About You

  • Hold a life sciences degree.

  • Have several years’ recent experience in a Medical Information role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.

  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, both verbally and in writing, using your expertise to support and influence decision-making.

  • Be familiar with developing content in digital settings.

  • Act with urgency and pragmatism, and always uphold high standards when serving our patients.

Additional experience with AstraZeneca products, ABPI Code of Practice, medical writing or project management is valuable, but not required. We support growth and provide opportunities to expand your skills as part of our team.
