As the Executive Assistant to the Country President of AstraZeneca UK, you will provide high-level administrative support while collaborating with a dynamic administrative team. Accountabilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Comprehensive diary management to maximize efficiency and time management, including prioritizing complex arrangements and ensuring follow-up actions.
- Organizing internal and external meetings, room bookings, and hospitality, as well as setting up virtual meetings using Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
- Managing email correspondence, flagging important emails, and ensuring timely approvals.
- Researching travel and accommodation options, organizing itineraries, and proactively adjusting plans in response to diary changes.
- Acting as expenses delegate for the Country President, preparing submissions and ensuring compliance with T&E policy.
- Serving as a point of contact between the Country President, Leadership Team, business units, and the wider company.
- Collaborating with the administrative group to maintain accurate organograms and support onboarding processes.
- Supporting ad hoc projects with Business Unit Directors.
- Coordinating logistics for monthly SLT meetings and supporting minuting and action tracking.
- Working on carbon estimation and reconciliation against actual spend.
- Assisting with Regional Market Visits, SLT offsite logistics, SLT on the Road events, and ad hoc SLT events.
- Providing managerial support to three PAs to ensure exceptional service to their respective SLT members.

Essential Skills/Experience

- Experience working in a C-Suite role – either CEO, VP or Executive Level
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Advanced use of Microsoft Teams and Zoom technology
- Advanced typing skills
- Flexibility and positive attitude along with emotional intelligence
- Self-starter, able to prioritize own workload, work unsupervised and use own initiative to solve problems
- Able to perform effectively under pressure
- Focus on quality and attention to detail
- Maintains confidentiality and deals discretely with sensitive information at all times
- Advanced verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced word processing skills, extensive knowledge of Microsoft office packages and able to design and create high-quality PowerPoint presentations
- Proven track record of project coordination
- Experience of organizing complex meetings and complex diary management
- Experience of exercising judgment to make decisions when appropriate

Desirable Skills/Experience

- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry or private industry desirable but not essential
- University Degree
- Experience of Pharma regulatory processes and ways of working 
- Track record of providing effective administrative support at senior leadership level
- Knowledge of AstraZeneca and the UK Marketing Company (AstraZeneca UK)
