SAP S/4 Change and Compliance Assurance Specialist (1-Year Fixed-Term Contract)
Introduction to the role:
Are you passionate about ensuring quality and compliance in complex business transformation projects? AstraZeneca is seeking a SAP S/4 Change and Compliance Assurance Specialist for a one-year, fixed-term contract within our global AXIAL Programme.
Based in Lisbon, you’ll play a central role in ensuring our SAP S/4HANA system remains robust, validated, and compliant post-deployment—supporting critical change management activities during a high-impact transformation.
Accountabilities:
- Oversee and assure compliance in all post-deployment SAP S/4HANA change management activities, embedding quality and documentation standards across the process.
- Work hands-on with Solution Manager, ServiceNow, and Jira to monitor, support, and validate system changes, ensuring alignment to AstraZeneca’s SOPs and external regulatory requirements (GxP, SOx, Data Integrity, etc.).
- Act as a liaison among project, IT, business, and quality teams, facilitating effective communication on upcoming and ongoing system changes, risks, and compliance issues.
- Maintain and organize thorough, audit-ready documentation supporting inspection readiness for all change activities.
- Integrate change management workflows with computerized system validation (CSV) and quality management processes.
- Confirm that all change management strategies and executions comply with company policies and industry standards.
- Monitor remediation actions related to impact and risk from change management activities, ensuring timely and compliant resolution.
- Support stakeholders with guidance and training on compliant use of change management practices and tools.
- Participate in audit and inspection preparations, delivering clear and complete documentation and responses as required.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Solid experience in change management or quality assurance for SAP S/4HANA or similar regulated ERP systems.
- Proficient in using Solution Manager, ServiceNow, and Jira for managing system changes and documentation.
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and standards such as GxP, ALCOA+, Data Integrity, SOx, and Good Documentation Practices.
- Excellent attention to detail with proven ability to maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Analytical mindset with strong skills in risk assessment, problem-solving, and compliance mitigation.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills to engage cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, IT, business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and working practices in regulated environments.
- Previous involvement in audit preparation and direct participation in regulatory inspections.
- Strong customer focus and a passion for continuous improvement in quality and compliance controls.
