Job Title: IT Project Manager - Programme Delivery - Enabling Units IT

About the role:

In this role, you’ll seamlessly combine your IT expertise with collaborative skills to drive innovation across functions. Your curiosity and results-oriented mindset will empower you to challenge conventional methods and bring fresh, ambitious ideas to life. We're looking for adaptable, agile thinkers dedicated to ethical and efficient problem-solving.

Accountabilities:

  • Plan and execute small projects or segments of larger ones, focusing on activities, resources, costs, roles, responsibilities, and quality in line with IT Project Management Methodology (ADF).

  • Support senior managers in coordination roles, working primarily during UK business hours.

  • Manage scope changes and stakeholder communications, ensuring alignment and project success.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with business stakeholders to align on and commit to project goals.

  • Lead steering and stakeholder meetings with a focus on status updates, issues, and risk management.

  • Assist in budgeting and schedule management to support strategic decision-making and project reporting.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Strong Project Management acumen, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Business acumen and sensitivity to the global environment.

  • Fair understanding of technology terminology and SDLC framework

  • Self-driven with a passion for professional excellence and resilience.

  • Experience leading small teams, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude.

  • Qualifications in agile and/or Lean/Six Sigma frameworks.

Key Relationships to reach solutions:

  • Internal (to AZ or team) - Programme and Project Managers |Steering committees and business stakeholders |IT resource and service providers | Purchasing |User community |Internal Suppliers 

  • External (to AZ) - Third party suppliers |External networks 

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of working with internal and third-party suppliers

  • International delivery experience working in global teams
