Accountabilities

The Channel Excellence Lead - Web will be responsible for shaping and operationalising our approach to web delivery within Global Commercial Services (GCS). This includes defining and embedding best-in-class operational processes, standards, and delivery methodologies that enable the business to create impactful, compliant, and customer-centric websites. The role will also play a central part in our journey towards greater web personalisation and the establishment of a consistent, portal-based web presence across the region.

Working in close partnership with our external delivery partner, the Channel Excellence Lead will ensure that our web operations are reliable, scalable, and efficient. They will bring both strategic insight and operational discipline to evolve how we deliver websites, from briefing through production, deployment, and optimisation. A key expectation is to enable our teams to deliver website configuration and assembly as part of a service that is exceptional - fast, efficient, error-free, compliant, and trusted at enterprise scale.

In addition to defining operational processes, the Channel Excellence Lead will work across all Global Commercial Services (GCS) teams to drive adoption, ensure adherence, and provide consultative expertise. They will also play a key role in upskilling colleagues, sharing knowledge, and enabling local market teams to make the best use of our web capabilities.

Key responsabilities

  • Serve as the GCO subject matter expert for platforms/tools associated with website delivery and optimisation, including:

  • Website assembly and configuration in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) CMS

  • Website personalisation capabilities (e.g., Salesforce Personalisation, AEM Target, or similar)

  • Standard web components, modules, and functionality leveraged across the enterprise

  • Portal-based approaches to deliver a consistent, unified regional web presence

  • Continuously assess current-state web operational processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, client satisfaction, compliance, and capability advancement.

  • Define, embed, and maintain best-in-class operational processes and delivery standards that enable website production to be fast, scalable, error-free, and compliant, ensuring web delivery is trusted across both commercial and medical teams.

  • Be accountable for the performance of the web service, taking initiative to identify, implement, and sustain improvements against key performance indicators (e.g., speed of delivery, quality, error rates, adoption of standards, SLA adherence).

  • Consult on capability advancement initiatives (e.g., new CMS functionality, new personalisation capabilities, portal development) to ensure operational requirements are incorporated into design and that proper operational testing is completed before launch.

  • Drive process adoption and adherence by:

  • Establishing forums for knowledge-sharing and feedback

  • Producing training and support resources for CMS users and related tools

  • Participating in consultation sessions with delivery teams and market stakeholders

  • Lead the evolution of the web service, acting as a thought leader in identifying, prioritising, and progressing opportunities to enhance how we deliver websites—particularly through the incorporation of automation and agentic capabilities that increase efficiency, quality, and scalability.

  • Collaborate with and oversee outsourced partners, ensuring service delivery is reliable, cost-effective, and continuously optimised to meet enterprise needs.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting large organizations in a role associated with digital operations delivery, with a strong emphasis on websites.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience serving in an operational function within a Healthcare/Pharmaceutical company, or other highly regulated industry.

  • Knowledge of Omnichannel enabling technology platforms and how websites integrate with other channels to deliver a seamless customer experience.

  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Web assembly and configuration in enterprise Content Management Systems (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager or equivalent)

  • Web personalisation capabilities (e.g., Marketing Cloud Personalization, AEM Target, or similar)

  • Website tagging and analytics configuration within a Tag Management System (TMS)

  • Extensive experience leading or working among cross-functional teams, driving towards a common objective in complex, matrixed environments.

  • Proven experience working to understand and evaluate complex business processes, with a track record of driving process optimisation initiatives.

  • Experience working with data-driven applications, including how data is captured through websites to enable reporting, insights, and decision-making.

  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and influence stakeholders across Strategy, Analytics, Operations, Technology, and Medical/Commercial teams.

  • Ability to lead multiple projects in parallel and manage competing priorities effectively.

  • Ability to inspire change by championing new approaches and embedding operational excellence in delivery.
