Join our AstraZeneca team as a Sales Manager, in this role you will effectively manage a sales team within the framework of agreed sales and marketing campaigns. This role is pivotal in driving our mission to bring life-saving medicines to patients and contribute to decreasing global mortality rates.
Accountabilities will include:
- Team Leadership and Development: Manage and coach Medical Sales Representatives following company standards. Responsibilities include recruitment, training organization, and team development.
- Performance Targets: Achieve designated sales and cost targets through effective management and strategic planning.
- Market Analysis and Strategy: Segment, target, and monitor market activities to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Strategy Implementation: Execute agreed-upon strategies and tactics efficiently and effectively.
- Business Opportunity Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of business opportunities to drive growth and expansion.
- Ethical Standards: Maintain accountability for adherence to AstraZeneca’s ethical standards and practices.
- Feedback and Reporting: Consolidate and report MSR feedback, focusing on campaign impact and competitive analysis.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Establish a cooperative framework between MSRs and other AstraZeneca functions to optimize operations.
- Business Planning: Develop the sales component of the business plan, ensuring alignment with overarching company objectives.
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with the commercial and medical affairs teams to set sales and marketing strategies for the unit and its products.
- Event Management: Oversee and manage selected sales and marketing events to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Customer Relationships: Maintain and nurture personal relationships with selected customers within the Therapeutic Area.
- Compliance and Integrity: Ensure all activities and responsibilities are conducted in compliance with the highest standards of ethics and integrity, as outlined by the Code of Conduct, supporting policies, standards, and company values.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Experience as a Sales Manager, Product Manager or similar equivalent of 1-3 years minimum
- Understanding of pharma business set up
- Communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to success as a people manager with coaching and training abilities
- MS Office proficiency
- Professional English
- Driving license
- Leadership capabilities, team working, initiative
- Sales & Cost management experience
