What you’ll do
AstraZeneca is seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) to establish and nurture strong relationships with our key customers in the region. You’ll be central to driving the success of our portfolio, delivering outstanding results through strategic account management, customer engagement, and collaborative working. You’ll promote AZ’s innovative therapies, ensure effective disease awareness activities, and support early diagnosis and treatment initiation aligned with our mission–always putting patients first and maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Key responsibilities
- You will continuously identify, define, and nurture relationships with both primary and secondary targeted key customers, ensuring your approach aligns with the evolving regional and Business Unit strategies.
- Deeply understand customers’ needs by regularly gathering and analyzing insights, and will use a variety of approved AZ communication channels to engage customers in a manner best suited to their preferences. Your proactive sales activities, flexible tactics, and detailed planning will support the achievement of ambitious sales targets and market expansion objectives.
- Regularly analyze the sales potential in your territory, design and implement targeted activities to maximize opportunities for AZ products, and promote our defined portfolio in accordance with approved marketing materials and Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC).
- Partnering closely with Product Managers, Medical Advisors, Market Access colleagues, and others, you'll ensure the delivery and effectiveness of impactful marketing, educational events, and business opportunities.
- Coordinate or support tailored commercial offers, manage logistics in collaboration with Business Specialists and Logistics Managers, and monitor as well as report on competitive activity. Acting within the boundaries of AstraZeneca’s values, policies, ethical codes, local and EU pharmaceutical industry regulations, and pharmacovigilance obligations will be fundamental in everything you do.
Your profile
- We welcome individuals with diverse backgrounds, whether they have experience in Oncology, Specialist Diseases, or other therapy areas. What matters most is having the right profile and the potential to develop and apply the necessary skills to contribute effectively and continue progressing in their career.
- University degree is required, with a preference (but not limited to) Medical Sciences / Pharmacy / Medical Engineering / Chemistry / Biology etc.;
- Passion for science and committed to make a positive personal impact;
- Curiousness and learning agility;
- Strong ability, or potential to develop it, in engaging and influencing decision making among key stakeholders in complex clinical environments, e.g., mid and senior level specialty care professionals, key accounts in the medical community;
- Collaborative and inclusive: exercise anticipation and responsiveness to the needs of others; ability to modify own approach to different people;
- Ability to analyze problems and focus on finding solutions - identify the key issues that need action and consider options from a variety of angles in order to identify an innovative solution;
- Able to use balanced reasons and metrics to recommend actions and support decision-making
- Resourceful and tenacious in approaching problems and leveraging all available resources for developing solutions;
- Fluent Czech and advanced English and literacy in common corporate technology
