Accountabilities
As a Senior Training Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Biopharmaceuticals R&D team. Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering technical training materials for BPD staff, coordinating onboarding training for GMP operations staff, and acting as a system administrator for our learning management system. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our training programs align with business performance goals and compliance standards.
Core Responsibilities include:
Coordination of the "New Employee Training" (NET) Program for GMP Operations Staff within BPD (15% of Effort)
- Provide coordination and administrative support for the NET program.
- Schedule training resources and manage logistics.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the NET program.
- Support the ongoing development and enhancement of the NET program.
Develop and Deliver Technical Training Materials for BPD Staff (45% of Effort)
- Ensure new learning content builds skills and capabilities that drive business performance goals.
- Utilize strong Learning & Development (L&D) expertise to design and create high-quality learning solutions that blend education, exposure, and experiential elements.
- Lead the development of new technical learning opportunities for GxP operations within BPD to enhance learning.
- Create a cohesive training strategy that supports compliance and aligns with broader BPD organizational goals.
- Oversee the delivery of virtual and/or in-person training events for BPD staff.
- Provide oversight for program design, Learning Management System (LMS) administration, logistics, delivery, metrics, and maintenance.
Act as a BPD System Administrator/Super User for the "Cornerstone" Learning Management System (40% of Effort)
- Prioritize support for staff involved in GMP/GXP operations.
- Assign trainings, modify training curriculums, and troubleshoot issues for GMP/GXP staff with a turnaround time of less than 3 business days.
Essential Skills/Experience
- BA/BS degree
- 3+ years of experience developing training materials for adult learners
- 2+ years of a blend of Pharmaceutical / Biotech experience
- Knowledge of adult learning theory, principles, and concept
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Knowledge and understanding of biologics CMC development and manufacturing
- An ability to effectively collaborate with and align key stakeholders
- Project management experience in PM, lead and governance roles
- Training in lean, six sigma or continuous improvement programs
- Knowledge/experience of GXP training requirements, technical writing and regulations
- Experience with LMS systems, training management, development and delivery

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $71,616 to $107,424. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
