Marketing Director, EGFR Lung - US Oncology

As the Marketing Director, EGFR Lung, you will help shape and execute the U.S. integrated strategy for EGFR‑mutated lung cancer across the treatment paradigm. You will lead brand planning and in‑market execution for our EGFR‑directed portfolio—driving impact through insight‑led strategy, high‑quality creative, and cross‑functional collaboration. This role reports to the U.S. Head of Marketing & Strategy, EGFR Lung Cancer.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategy and Leadership: Own the integrated U.S. marketing strategy for select EGFR‑mutated lung cancer indications; translate strategy into clear, measurable tactical plans that deliver against brand objectives and KPIs.
  • Cross‑Functional Partnership: Partner closely with Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, Sales, Insights & Analytics (I&A), and other Brand and Marketing Directors to ensure scientific rigor, compliance, and aligned execution.
  • Brand and Campaign Excellence: Lead development and execution of the brand’s creative platform across HCP and appropriate unbranded/education initiatives; ensure consistency across promotional channels and touchpoints.
  • KPI and Performance Management: Define robust lead/lag KPIs with I&A; build agile performance readouts; drive ongoing optimization of channel mix, messaging, and creative based on insights and analytics.
  • Agency Stewardship: Establish strong relationships with agency partners; set clear briefs and performance expectations; hold internal and external teams accountable for quality, timeliness, and budget discipline.
  • Customer Insight and Segmentation: Build customer insight plans; translate research into compelling value propositions, segmentation, and targeted engagement strategies.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Support budget planning and tracking for all tactics and workstreams; ensure efficient deployment that maximizes ROI and brand impact.
  • Launch and Lifecycle Excellence: Drive U.S. in‑line execution and support new indication/asset introductions, ensuring launch readiness and post‑launch optimization.
  • Culture and Values: Foster a culture of dedication, accountability, innovation, and shared ownership of brand performance; role model AstraZeneca Values.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 4+ years of pharmaceutical in‑line HCP marketing experience in the U.S. and/or ex‑U.S.
  • Proven track record of market execution with delivery against defined KPIs.
  • Demonstrated experience leading launches and/or introducing new assets into key markets.
  • Strong strategic thinking with a collaborative, cross‑functional working style.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior marketing experience in lung cancer, EGFR, and/or ADCs.
  • 6+ years of pharmaceutical in‑line HCP marketing experience in the U.S. and/or ex‑U.S.
  • Progressive experience across one or more: market access, brand marketing, sales, pricing, market research/analytics, or strategic planning.
  • People leadership experience with a track record of developing talent and leading teams.
  • Deep experience and demonstrated achievements in the U.S. Oncology market.
  • Relevant post‑graduate degree

Work Location:

  • Gaithersburg, MD. This role is based on site at our U.S. Oncology Headquarters.
  • Travel: Up to 20% domestic travel for key meetings, congresses, and field insights.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $193,898 to $290,847. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off (i.e., vacation, holiday, and leaves), as well as health, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
