What you will do:
- Lead the creation and alignment of HR and people strategies for assigned client groups within Global BBU, encompassing workforce planning, recruitment, talent management, employee development, and employee engagement. Ensure alignment with SET area and enterprise HR and people plans.
- Partner with HR centres of expertise to facilitate the delivery of tailored HR solutions to defined scopes, timeframes, budgets, and measurable benefits within assigned business units or projects.
- Implement and manage key global HR processes for assigned client groups including performance management, talent and succession planning, annual engagement survey, and other initiatives.
- Collaborate with Global HR Business Partners and senior business leaders to craft and implement targeted HR interventions across the Global BBU functions (and Global BBU SET area, as required) aligned with overall people strategy.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders in assigned client groups, establishing strong partnerships that enhance people management practices and elevate overall business performance. Collaborate to define and develop the people aspects of innovative ideas and business priorities.
- Coach, support, mentor, and challenge people managers in applying HR policies and practices; provide advice and guidance on complex HR issues to minimise risk and financial exposure. Serve as a trusted advisor on complex employee relations issues, guaranteeing adherence with global employment laws and company policies.
- Ensure HR solutions align with global AstraZeneca HR frameworks, applying policies, tools, and techniques in areas such as organisational efficiency, change management, employee engagement, workforce transitions, and performance management.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Educated to Degree level, ideally in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
- Significant HR experience (8 years +) within a large, sophisticated, and matrixed/global organisation – preferably as an HR Business Partner, or in another HR client-facing role.
- Demonstrable track record of leading the development and execution of HR and people strategies with measurable results.
- Solid experience as a trusted advisor and coach to business leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and negotiate at senior levels in an international environment.
- Demonstrated use of HR analytics and organisational data to inform decision-making, develop interventions, and evaluate impact.
- Digitally-savvy, with evidence of driving innovative solutions and a continuous improvement approach to HR implementation.
- Deep understanding of employment law, policy, and risk management.
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Management, Organisational Development, Business Administration, or a related field
- Direct experience in the life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or biopharma industries.
- Ability to work effectively on global teams or assignments spanning multiple countries/regions.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $145,600 - $218,400 USD. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
