Despite great strides in the treatment and understanding of blood cancers in recent years, there remain critical unmet needs for this diverse and complex family of diseases. These significant gaps in treating and caring for patients with blood cancer are why AstraZeneca is committed to help transform the haematologic cancer care experience. We strive to be a scientific leader in haematology by helping to care for the 3.6 million people living with blood cancers worldwide as of 2020.
We have an exciting opportunity to work in the Global Haematology Franchise as the Global Marketing Lead – CAR-T. This role, reporting into the Global Commercial Head for CAR-T, helps lead the implementation of the global strategic brand plans for New haematological assets across various indications. This role works collaboratively key global country and regional leads based in the US, Europe, Asia as well as wide range of headquarter functions including Marketing, Global Analytics & Insights (GA&I), Digital, Pricing and Market Access, Global Medical Affairs (GMA), Regulatory affairs, R&D, Product development, and others.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and lead marketing strategies.
- Lead and manage the development of Global Brand Plans and Global launch plans by implementing co-creation strategies at a Global Cross-functional team and GBT level.
- Support and align the GBP process within the organization and ensure the dissemination of Global Brand Plans to all affiliates, co-creation, and endorsements.
- Collaborate with affiliates, main regions, and markets to define the optimal Go-to-Market model.
- Act as a genre expert within the brand team, supporting other departments and markets in effectively presenting brands to multiple audiences.
- Foster ongoing insights development by partnering with GA&I and engaging with experts, community HCPs. Apply insights to shape brand strategy and implementation.
- Create compelling cases to support opportunities for the brand.
- Regularly evaluate and challenge the brand excellence program to ensure that marketing capabilities are established throughout the company to support excellence in execution. Monitor progress and submit performance reports.
- Enhance communication and knowledge sharing between global and local teams, as well as across functions.
- Lead all aspects of the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies.
- Define and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve objectives.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, identifying innovative marketing opportunities and tactics.
- Ensure brand consistency and integrity across all marketing channels and communications.
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry brand marketing, sales, market research/analytics, strategic planning
- A season leader with the ability to drive product development
- Experience leading multiple indications simultaneously
- Product Knowledge is a must: CAR-T and / or Cell & Gene Therapy
- Disease Knowledge: must have worked in at least in one or more of the following disease areas; MM, DLBCL, FL, CLL, or ALL
- Broad global commercial experience including pre-launch and launch.
- Proven experience and knowledge of a broad base of external customers including patients, prescribers, payers, and providers.
- Demonstrated use of insights to deliver effective strategy.
- Evidence of developing compelling cases
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities with a high degree of autonomy
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Science subject
Desirable attributes:
- PhD, MBA
- Experience in Haematology
- Strong clinical competence and scientific mind-set
- Business Insights experience
The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $220,870 to $331,306. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
