As part of the Global Commercial Franchise Team IO Oncology Business Unit, we have an outstanding opportunity for a talented and passionate Global Brand Director to lead the brand strategy and implementation for AZD0901, an asset in our Oncology pipeline. This pivotal role will contribute to our mission of transforming care for cancer patients globally.
What You'll Do:
Craft a compelling global brand strategy and promotional campaign for AZD0901, setting the stage for a successful launch.
Collaborate across functions such as Marketing, Global Analytics & Insights, Digital, Diagnostics, and others to implement a launch plan with excellence.
Generate deep customer and market insights to inform clinical development, brand positioning, and regulatory strategies.
Engage and build relationships with key global, country, and regional partners to align and optimize brand strategies.
Represent the Global Commercial Team at Global Product Team meetings, contributing to strategic decision-making.
Develop and lead comprehensive market-shaping programs and commercial plans, addressing positioning, segmentation, and pricing strategies.
Track and manage budget targets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Lead and inspire a matrixed team, fostering an environment of collaboration and high performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business or life sciences.
10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical development and commercialization.
Proven track record in pre-launch and launch excellence within Marketing.
Strong ability to generate customer insights and apply them to build impactful brand strategies.
Excellent collaboration and partner engagement skills, with the capacity to work across scientific and commercial teams.
Effective analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with proficiency in using insights to drive brand success.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
Sales or customer-facing experience.
Management experience leading diverse teams.
Ability to lead complex projects with autonomy and a strategic mindset.
Strong business acumen and ethical standards, capable of influencing stakeholders and driving performance.
This position can be based at our Gaithersburg, MD campus, headquarters for the US Oncology and the Oncology Business Unit or at our Cambridge, UK headquarters. The annual base pay for this position ranges from $229,303.20 - 343,954.80 USD. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
