Director, Supplier Development
Accountabilities
Plans and reviews the performance of Procurement and other function teams within area of responsibility
Plans, leads and controls overall allocation of resources
Ensures appropriate supplier management methods are applied
Advises new initiatives and improvement programmes aimed at ensuring compliance, continuous improvement, technical excellence and improving cost-effectiveness
Recruits, defines goals, sets and leads performance standards for a multi-functional team able to deliver procurement projects to time, cost and quality standards
Advises on and drives procurement strategy ensuring procurement processes are in line with organisational objectives
Leads a multi-disciplinary team defining and achieving Procurement efficiency and work standards and associated procedures, to ensure the assets meet business needs and satisfy external regulators
Leads, defines and gains approval of business needs and the translation of these needs into specific resource requirements
Coaches and develops professional aspects of Procurement team members
Develops senior level contacts in order to resolve issues, optimise business performance and develop future improvement opportunities
Essential Skills/Experience
Scientific or technical Degree level qualification
Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and product development
Expertise in at least CMC, plus one business area (i.e Procurement, Supply Chain, BD) and knowledge of several others understanding of the product development lifecycle
Desirable Skills/Experience
MS or MBA considered an asset
Proven leadership experience
Communication skills and ability to influence others
Comfort with risk and ambiguous situations

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $138,400.00 to $207,600.00. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
