This position is located at our Gaithersburg, MD headquarters.
Accountabilities
- Lead the development and execution of the publication strategy and tactical plan for oncology global clinical studies in humans from Phase Ib-IV, and non-clinical trial sources including health economics and outcomes research, epidemiology, real-world evidence (RWE), payer, and non-interventional studies.
- Head the development of scientific, clinical and RWE planning data into timely publications for prescribers, payers, and patients through disease state and medicine insights
- Day-to-day management of assigned publication plans, delivery of outputs, financial tracking and meeting activities, working closely with all members of the delivery team and external alliances
- Lead external agency partners to ensure the accuracy of publication plan and publication results with respect to time, quality and cost, and ensuring accurate compliance documentation
Essential Skills/Experience
- Relevant university degree (BS/BA) and· 3+ years publications pharmaceutical experience or will consider 5+ years in medical communications agency; or advanced degree in a scientific or medical field (eg PharmD, PhD, MD)
- Adept at collaborating across multiple functions and hierarchies to develop and execute long-term strategic publication plans on time and on budget
- Be independent, organized, and able to act as a leader in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate with collaborators regarding the planning and development of publication deliverables
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all publications
- Strong project management skills and ability to collaborate with agency partners
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Therapeutic knowledge in oncology
- Knowledge of publication management systems
- Certification as a Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) desired

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $185,412.80 - $278,119.20. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered include a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
