Director, Cell Therapy Supply Chain Strategy & Business Planning

This role is part of the Operations team tasked with supporting Clinical and Commercial production across multiple sites.
We are looking for a Director of Cell Therapy Supply Chain Strategy and Business Planning. You will work with senior leaders to advance key strategic cell therapy supply chain initiatives, and support the development and monitoring of goals, operating model, and the business plan. You will be based in Gaithersburg, MD or Santa Monica, CA and will report to the Head of Cell Therapy Global Supply Chain.
You Will:
Partner with Senior Leadership Team Members and act as the lead on complex and strategic projects that will advance cell therapy towards Astra Zeneca’s Cell Therapy Ambition. Develop strategic frameworks, approaches, deliverables, and plans. Align stakeholders to work towards project milestones.
Facilitate the creation and monitoring of the cell therapy supply chain operating model, capability build, and business plans aligned to goals and strategies.
Help develop the annual strategy planning calendar, ensuring key milestones and initiatives are aligned with business objectives.
Partner with the Leadership team to develop annual goals. Track and report supply chain progress and performance through monthly business reviews and weekly pulse checks.
Support preparation for critical business processes or Business Review Meetings
Manage the operational processes that support budget business cycles.
Work with the Leadership Team to set Face-to-Face meeting agendas, facilitate meetings and monitor critical and strategic actions to ensure the delivery of departmental goals.
Partner with Leadership to deliver and prepare for key functional engagements such as townhalls and other communications that align the organization
You Have:
Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering; MBA preferred
12+ years of experience with BS or 10+ years with MS/MA/MBA in an operations environment, with experience in supply chain and operations strategic planning preferably within cell therapy.
Ability to translate business needs into strategies, frameworks, and operational plans.
Strong project management skills.
Effective interactive skills with team members, both internally and externally.
Experience leading cross functional teams.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $139,000 to $209,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
