The Oncology Commercial Leadership Associate (OCLA) program is your chance to create a significant impact on AstraZeneca's portfolio pipeline. This multifaceted, hands-on role empowers you to work across multiple commercial functions—Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Insights & Analytics, and Strategy—to enhance our US commercial operations and deliver innovative solutions.


What You’ll Do:
As an OCLA, you'll be at the forefront of AstraZeneca's US Oncology Commercial teams, influencing critical marketing and operational strategies. You'll take the lead on opportunity assessments, channel leadership, messaging, and launch/lifecycle product planning. Your strategic insights will drive the development of operational plans and support our key customers with actionable market access information, enabling them to shape future initiatives and impact patient journeys.


You'll collaborate closely with our Commercial leadership team to solve ad-hoc data challenges, provide recommendations, and advance Market Research, Access, Insight tools, and capabilities. Your contributions will be pivotal in crafting the future of oncology treatment and patient care.

Minimum Requirements:
•    MBA graduation date between June 2025 and June 2026.
•    Validated academic excellence.
•    2-6 years of pre-MBA work experience.
•    Professional or Academic experience in the healthcare sector.
•    Willingness to work on-site in Gaithersburg, MD (metro Washington, DC).
•    Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
•    Strong work ethic with proven leadership achievement and learning agility.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Healthcare Specialty MBA
•    Pharmaceutical experience
•    A deep understanding of the market access landscape and proficiency in secondary analysis.
•    Familiarity with managed markets, including sales data reporting, analysis, and customer targeting strategies.
•    Robust analytical skills in problem-solving, forecasting, contract development, and financial modeling.

Competitive salary, bonus & benefits 
We offer a competitive salary including a base and performance-based bonus. We offer a generous paid time off program and a comprehensive benefits package (medical/dental/vision/401K). The salary range for this position only is a base salary of $160,000 to $165,000 + Bonus.

If successful, your candidacy will potentially advance to 3 additional stages, which may include a 1-way video interview and a virtual panel interview.  Please note that the virtual panel interview stage is approximately 6 hours long (with breaks), and your attendance is required for the entire time.
