Associate Director, Plan to Deliver Business Process Lead

AstraZeneca Cell Therapy is seeking an experienced Plan to Deliver Analyst to join our growing and dynamic team. You will be a key contributor to defining our Plan to Deliver processes that utilize Advanced Planning and SAP systems. This role will help to mature the systems and processes vital to the efficient delivery of products to patients across our global supply chain network. This role will require strong experience and understanding of Demand Planning, Supply Planning, detailed scheduling, manufacturing and delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across the enterprise with the Cell Therapy stakeholders and formalize the business processes and supporting systems requirements for Plan to Deliver systems that are fit for purpose to cell therapy and aligned to AstraZeneca’s future ambition
  • Responsible for scoping and implementing SAP, reporting, and advanced planning system configuration project deliverables.
  • Lead use case analysis, create prototypes, blueprint, develop functional design specifications, map processes, oversee the build, conduct testing and validation and go-live activities.
  • Partner with IT to ensure seamless architecture and integration of the Plan to Deliver systems
  • Support the build of project plans to deliver systems and process solutions that meet the Cell Therapy Supply Chain digital and capability road map
  • Design clinical and commercial business processes that are efficient and adhere to regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Design and lead workshops comprised of participants from Operations, Finance, Clinical, Commercial, and IT technology teams.
  • Participate in projects related to system upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations, ensuring on-budget delivery.
  • Provide ongoing support for SAP Plan to Deliver applications, resolving issues and providing user training.
  • Develop reports to provide insights into supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for processes, training materials, and system configurations.
  • Coordinate business continuity efforts, including business resumption, disaster recovery, and vendor selection

Education and Experience:

  • 8+ Years with BS/BA; 6+ Years with MS/MA or MBA.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience working with SAP Plan to Deliver processes and modules.
  • Experience working on large scale technology programs and digital transformation projects in cell therapy or Pharma or biotech space
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Capacity Evaluation/leveling, Production Scheduling, Process Order execution. Including master data, BOM, Routing, MES and PLM integration. Comprehensive understanding of SAP modules associated with Plan to Deliver processes, including SAP MM, SAP PP, and SAP SCM.
  • Experience and understanding of Advanced Planning ( eg OMP, Kinaxis, o9, or similar) and detail capacity scheduling solutions( eg Binocs, that integrate with SAP).
  • Strong knowledge of GMP manufacturing, Quality Inspection, Quality Planning.
  • A strategic manager who can assimilate large amounts of complex and diverse information and focus on the core ideas and issues.
  • Experience driving change management programs

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $114,524.80 to $171,787.20. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
