Are you ready to make a significant impact in a dynamic and innovative environment? AstraZeneca is seeking an Associate Director for our newly established Legal Entity Forecasting (LEF) team. This team plays a crucial role in accurately forecasting P&L and Cash tax, enabling strategic resource allocations across the organisation. As part of this team, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of AstraZeneca's financial processes and contribute to the company's tax reporting and forecasting efforts. This high-profile role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and precise completion of the LEF process, aligning with AstraZeneca's financial objectives.
Accountabilities:
- Define and deliver how AstraZeneca converts actuals and forecasted P&Ls from a management unit basis to a statutory basis.
- Serve as the business partner for Intercompany areas within the LEF, such as Intercompany Interest, Tolling, and brand allocations, ensuring that the team is aware of any changes within the business that will impact the LEF process.
- Liaise with FP&A teams to deepen understanding of management forecasts feeding into the LEF.
- Manage the relationship with the GFR teams, discussing transactions that might impact the LEF models. Also, share applicable LEF results with local and group teams.
- Coordinate with Axial direct tax, R2R, and EPMR teams regarding LEF discussions.
- Understand the implications of business changes on the P&L and the Tax team in particular.
- Leverage technology and optimise our local reporting processes. Embed a culture of continuous process improvement, encourage best practices sharing across regions, and ensure that data, systems and processes are appropriate and controlled.
- Partner with wider group and local tax teams, FP&A, accounting, and GFR to integrate LEF results into business decisions.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Over 10 years of proven experience in tax, accounting, planning and analysis, or related corporate finance analysis position.
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to work with and present to senior leaders.
- Desire to define a new role in a new team and make it your own.
- Experience using tax, financial accounting, planning, and/or reporting systems.
- Ability to lead and develop strong partnership/team building relationships with the business and across functions and comfortable operating in a matrix environment.
- Demonstrates initiative, maintains a positive attitude, and is a self-starter.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior management.
