Introduction to role
The API Warehouse Operator is responsible for the day-to-day warehouse activities at the Dublin facility. This role ensures that all warehouse activities are completed as per approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), in a safe manner and in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Additionally, the role involves ensuring the operational readiness of the new API Warehouse, overseeing its integration into daily operations, and supporting any required ramp-up activities.
Accountabilities
• Ensure all training on equipment, processes, and facility and safety procedures are maintained and up to date at all times.
• Perform day-to-day warehouse Dispensing & Sampling activities to meet schedules while maintaining a high level of GMP compliance.
• Maintain the Warehouse Quality System by adherence to all relevant SOPs, policies, and cGMP requirements.
• Aid with troubleshooting and resolving operational problems.
• Act as a subject matter expert for the Warehouse Dispensing & Sampling group in relevant equipment and system root cause investigations and fill the role of lead investigator where required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas needing improvement, recommending strategies for improvement, and implementing those strategies once approved.
• Report to Warehouse Supervisor on a regular basis on area performance and report any issues that need to be resolved.
• Proactively ensure that all Environmental, Health and Safety responsibilities are carried out according to EHS regulations and procedures.
• Utilize and maintain IT systems as required, e.g., SAP, MES.
• Provide support to Operations, Validation, Engineering, and Quality where required.
• Complete training with new/junior Warehouse Operators.
• Support the operational readiness of the new API Warehouse by ensuring area readiness, equipment readiness, and SOP availability for the API launch.
• Assist in ensuring that the warehouse infrastructure and equipment are prepared for API operations, meeting all operational specifications and requirements.
• Ensure that all required SOPs are developed, reviewed, and available for the successful launch and ongoing operation of the new API Warehouse.
• Other duties as required
Essential Skills/Experience
• 2-5 years’ experience performing Warehouse Dispensing & Sampling support activities preferably in a cGMP commercial manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work within and adapt to complex electronic systems such as SAP.
• Good interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.
• Should be knowledgeable of regulatory and GMP requirements.
Desirable Skills/Experience
• Current or previous formal education in logistics/warehousing/supply chain would be an advantage.
