Accountabilities

As a Senior Manager, you will spearhead the integration and localization of Tax Reporting and Tax Analytics automation solutions into core business and finance processes, including S/4HANA and related systems. You'll design and build tax integration processes within global template designs, enhancing tax processes and adopting a 'right first time' approach. Your expertise will be crucial in understanding the transformation opportunities provided by S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, and supporting technologies. Collaborate with key partners across all Enterprise Process areas to integrate best-in-class tax solutions into new processes.

You'll contribute to the design and definition of operational tax processes embedded across business areas, focusing on financial and logistical processes within S/4HANA systems. Ensure appropriate operation and data usage for calculating various taxes, such as Direct Tax, Environmental Taxes, and Global Minimum Tax. Act as a knowledge source for tax process integration, defining and presenting current and future business improvement needs.

Provide expertise on tax touchpoints throughout AstraZeneca's business and process design for tax, supporting the Enterprise Process Architect. Maximize opportunities for improvements and ensure successful transitions to future states. Develop key tax global process design activities to generate the golden template, including scope definition, identification of standard processes, and integration with wider business processes.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in relevant field
• Previous experience with system-driven S4HANA Tax, Tax automation solutions, and/or Tax Engines
• Understanding of Tax process integration areas within business processes relating to at least one of: Corporate Income Tax, Global Minimum Tax (2 areas preferred), Withholding Tax, Indirect Tax, and/or Environmental Taxes
• Significant experience in Business Improvement
