Responsibilities
Welcome to Coppell, TX, one of over 400 sites here at AstraZeneca, providing a collaborative circumstance where everyone feels comfortable and able to be themselves is at the core of AstraZeneca’s priorities. The Lokelma ® Supply Site (LSS) has an open concept office space crafted to provide an uplifting office environment to support varying work styles and collaboration needs. LSS has an on-site café with a selection of snacks and refrigerated grab-and-go items for purchase. Additionally, the site offers a food delivery service through Foodsby, allowing employees to purchase food from a variety of local restaurants to be delivered to the site, which currently includes a discounted price for LSS employees. Electric car charging stations are also available for use.
THIS IS A ROTATING (EVERY OTHER WEEKEND OFF) SHIFT - DAY POSITION
HOURS: 6:30AM - 7:00PM
Accountabilities:
• Ethical conduct and compliance
• Perform process manufacturing tasks including operation of large-scale equipment, weighing, measuring, and monitoring raw materials to ensure batches contain proper ingredients, quantities, and process outputs.
• Conduct in-process testing as specified within manufacturing documentation.
• Identify and inform supervisor of equipment malfunctions or process outputs that do not meet expected outcomes.
• Maintain manufacturing areas to identified standards of cleanliness and neatness; may involve sweeping, mopping floors, wiping down equipment, and appropriately disposing of trash.
• Operate electric and manual hand or fork trucks as the need arises to safely move and store chemicals and products.
• Participate in LEAN principles within Manufacturing.
• Attend daily meetings as needed.
• Call out issues to appropriate departments (Sr Operator, Maintenance, Metrology, QA, Process Facilitator).
• Ensure Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) reporting each shift.
• Review completed Batch Records.
• Complete all assigned training in a timely manner.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly manufacturing activities/cleans.
• Implement 5S standards and autonomous maintenance.
• Participate in GENBA walk of area(s)/Equipment of responsibility.
• Other duties may be assigned.
Essential Skills/Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 0-1 year working in a GMP environment
• Individual must possess mechanical competence and ability wo use hands and tools to operate and perform minor maintenance on equipment
• Operate basic electronic equipment and possess basic computer skills.
• Follow written and verbal directions, and perform assigned tasks independently. Able to read, write, and understand English
• Requires understanding of basic math to perform mathematical calculations. Ability to wear a half face respirator where needed
• Ability to move up to 5 pounds frequently; up to 25 pounds occasionally; up to 50 pounds occasionally by using a hand truck to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed, are required
Desirable Skills/Experience:
• College coursework in science
• Compounding experience
• Experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical environment or regulated industry
