As the Associate Director of Warehouse at AstraZeneca, you will oversee bulk chemical receiving, warehouse operations, and shipping. Your leadership will ensure effective employee relations and compliance with cGMP, SOX requirements, SHE obligations, and AstraZeneca standards. Accountabilities

- Responsible for all warehouse and bulk chemical storage activities, including coordination of support staff, scheduling, and continuous improvement.
- Provide career development and performance management for the warehouse staff.
- Ensure accurate documentation is maintained consistently to company standards, including documents, training documentation, and logbooks.
- Ensure proper training of departmental personnel and proper procedures and techniques are being used in accordance with cGMPs, OSHA, DOT, and FDA.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, current Good Manufacturing standards, and all other work standards.
- Promote and demonstrate safe work practices during all aspects of the operation and ensure all external and AstraZeneca SHE standards are met daily.
- Author, review, and approve SOPs and other documents (such as change controls) to ensure integration of cGMPs and improve process efficiencies.
- Provide training and direction to personnel in the efficient use of equipment and materials to produce quality products in accordance with the Warehouse Plan.
- Support, review, and/or approve deviation investigations as appropriate.
- Promote and encourage continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, production, and safety through the use of AstraZeneca Lean systems.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement projects in the Warehouse using the Lean Six Sigma methodology aligned with the supply chain and site strategies.
- Drive standardization on the Lean ways of working and tools across the shift teams, reinforcing the AstraZeneca Supply System.

Essential Skills/Experience

- BA/BS degree
- 5 years experience in warehouse or chemical operations management

or regulated production environment

- Minimum 5 years experience in a GMP or regulated production environment.
- Minimum 4 years supervisory experience
- Knowledge of SOX requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
- Good interpersonal, written, verbal, communication and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of FDA cGMP’s and Safety, Health and Environment and Standard Operating Procedures
- Knowledge and experience in Lean Methodology

- Project management, change management and people management skills

Desirable Skills/Experience

- Working knowledge of SAP, Trackwise, and/or Veeva applications
- Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Experience in supporting and leading Lean Six Sigma projects and initiatives
