Job Title: Senior Engineer - Testing

Accountabilities

Lead and coordinate activities with data source application owners to ensure integration, data integrity, and data quality. Maintain and handle test documentation for data warehousing and ETL processes.

Be an SME, assume lead SQA role and ownership of the application under test in terms of data quality.

Ensure the business intelligence dashboard/ dossier is delivered to the customers meeting their expectations at the right time as per the agreed SLA.

Coordinate with upstream/downstream application teams and the key stakeholders for any data issues, outages or impact arising due to any changes.

Ensure that thorough impact analysis and testing are carried out for any upstream changes impacting the application.

Accountable for job monitoring like airflow, execution, troubleshoot any issues, identify the root cause and report any bugs as and when required.

Accountable for functional performance of QA function aligned to Information Management platform portfolio.

Effectively coach, provide guidance to QA staff aligned with assigned platform portfolio.

Insert leadership with AD technical leads, AD tower leads, 3rd party vendor.

Business process knowledge sufficient to understand the technology changes resulting in a test strategy that can be applied to one or more platform QA services aligned with the assigned platform portfolio.

Effectively communicate, negotiate and influence release-train stakeholders (PM, Development Lead, Service Lead, Users) to ensure alignment with test approach and execution that represents "best fit" of effort, benefit, and cost.

Facilitate Information Management platform reviews of innovation, practice improvements, and drive improvements consistency across all platforms within assigned portfolio.

Apply platform-specific test strategies. For example, platform-aligned KPIs, metrics like AD to Test ratio; FTE and Contractor ratio; etc.

Establish and manage the execution of QA roadmap - drive innovation, improvements across QA team.

In partnership with Platform Release Managers, Project Managers, SDC leads - establish productivity benchmarks for QA staff functionally reporting into Commercial IT SQA Manager.

Essential Skills/Experience

Hands-on experience in AWS Services like EMR, S3, Athena, RDS, Redshift, etc. is required

Querying knowledge using SQL is a must.

Knowledge of the BI Reporting tool (MicroStrategy) and scheduling tools (Airflow preferably)

Python knowledge is desirable.

6+ years of hands-on SQA and Testing experience

3+ years experience managing team size of 4-8 QA engineers and working with product cross-functional teams in a leadership role using agile/iterative development methods

Experience in Agile and with agile teams using methodologies such as SCRUM and SAFe

Proven track record to work independently in a dynamic, fast-moving environment

Confidently communicate and interpersonal skills to effectively engage SQA staff, senior stakeholders, in urgent or critical situations

Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, Automated Testing Tools

Experience with capacity management, SQA service management, SQA service, and operational metrics

Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, system dependencies, and product integration phases.

Extensive experience with software test lifecycle management

Demonstrated ability to own problems and propose realistic, meaningful solutions

Demonstrated ability to operate within short release cycles
