Job Title: Senior Engineer - Automation Testing
Grade - D3
Introduction to role:
Are you an advanced level Test Engineer ready to take on new challenges? As a Senior Engineer in Automation Testing, you will conduct various automation testing activities within IT projects. You will work in line with set test strategies and good testing practices, ensuring software products are tested to a high standard. Your role will involve analyzing automation requirements, designing tests, creating test cases and charters, implementing tests, utilizing tools, documenting tests, and reporting results. Additionally, you will coach and mentor less experienced Test Engineers.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the automation testing team, providing guidance and mentoring to testers
- Develop and implement test automation strategies aligned with project goals
- Identify and recommend automation framework enhancements and improvements
- Collaborate with development teams and project teams to understand application features and architecture
- Continuously improve the efficiency and coverage of the automation testing process
- Research and implement new testing tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to define testing scope and timelines
- Generate and track quality metrics, providing clear and actionable insights
- Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards
- Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve quality
- Represent the testing team in meetings, presenting automation progress and challenges
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Technical or Business Degree or proven relevant experience
- Highly proficient skills and experience in testing software products
- Strong Experience working within global testing teams
- Evidence of implementing innovative testing solutions
- Solid knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments
- Strong Experience in Data Validation using Python including API Automation
- Good experience in UI automation using Selenium with Python
- Good knowledge in object-oriented programming approach
- Basic knowledge in Jenkins – CI/CD tool and GitHub Actions
- Good Knowledge in SQL and ability to frame advanced SQL queries
- Experience in Data Science lib Pandas and Polars including data analysis
- ETL knowledge is an added advantage
- Ability to work in python-based frameworks & reports

- Masters degree
- GxP Validation experience
- Lifesciences domain skills
