Accountabilities:

As a Senior Consultant UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for designing intuitive interfaces for AR/VR/MR applications, focusing on spatial interactions and user comfort. You will create wireframes, user flows, storyboards, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs for immersive environments. Your role will involve developing 3D UI elements, gesture-based interactions, and spatial layouts optimized for head-mounted devices. Collaborating closely with product owners, 3D artists, developers, and solution architects will be key to ensuring design feasibility and consistency.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Design & Experience Creation

  • Design intuitive UI/UX for AR/VR/MR applications with a solid focus on spatial interactions and user comfort.

  • Create wireframes, user flows, storyboards, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs for immersive environments.

  • Develop 3D UI elements, gesture-based interactions, and spatial layouts optimized for head-mounted devices.

  • Work closely with product owners, 3D artists, developers, and solution architects to ensure design feasibility and consistency.

  • User Research & Testing

  • Conduct user studies, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations tailored to immersive environments.

  • Analyse user behaviour to refine and iterate on interaction models and UI elements.

  • Apply principles of comfort, ergonomics, field of view, depth cues, and accessibility in immersive spaces.

  • Collaboration & Delivery

  • Translate business requirements into clear design specifications and interaction guidelines.

  • Work with engineering teams (Unity/Unreal/WebXR developers) to ensure smooth design implementation.

  • Maintain design libraries, documentation, and immersive UI standards for scalability.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, Multimedia, or related field.

  • 4–10 years of UI/UX experience with at least 3-4 years in immersive or 3D experience design.

  • Solid portfolio showcasing AR/VR/MR designs, spatial UX work, prototypes, or 3D interface concepts.

  • Hands-on experience with design tools: Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop; 3D/UI tools such as Blender, Maya, Cinema4D, or similar; Prototyping tools for immersive environments (e.g., Unity UI Toolkit, Unreal UMG, ProtoPie XR).

  • Understanding of immersive interaction patterns: gaze, gesture, hand-tracking, controller-based input, spatial anchors, comfort thresholds.

  • Strong visual design skills, typography, layout, and interaction design fundamentals.

  • Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across product, engineering, and 3D/animation.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):

  • Experience designing for Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest, HoloLens, Magic Leap, or similar devices.

  • Knowledge of Unity/Unreal to test and validate UI interactions inside the environment.

  • Understanding of XR accessibility guidelines and spatial usability frameworks.

  • Experience in enterprise applications (training, remote assistance, digital twins, pharma, manufacturing, etc.).
