Introduction to role:

Are you ready to lead the charge in redefining data platforms? As a Senior Platform Engineer on our Advanced team, you'll design, develop, and evolve cloud-native data platforms using Databricks on Azure, AWS, or GCP. With a focus on Infrastructure as Code and DevOps standard processes, you'll ensure our platforms are scalable, secure, cost-effective, and future-ready. Beyond hands-on engineering, you'll lead delivery squads, mentor engineers, and align technical solutions with client business goals. Are you up for the challenge?

Accountabilities:

• Architect and implement cloud-native data platforms using Databricks, Snowflake, and core cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Build and maintain robust data ingestion and orchestration pipelines (Airflow, dbt, Fivetran, SnapLogic).
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Ensure platform reliability, security (IAM, VPC, network policies), performance, and cost optimization (FinOps).
• Monitor industry trends; evaluate and prototype new tools via PoCs to keep the platform future-fit.
• Provide hands-on mentorship, technical guidance, and line management to delivery teams.
• Collaborate with clients and collaborators to translate business requirements into technical outcomes.
• Contribute to our internal innovation culture by sharing standard processes and shaping future delivery capabilities.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• 7+ years architecting, building, and deploying cloud-native solutions in at least two clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep expertise in Snowflake administration, optimization, and cost management.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM) and modern DevOps practices (IaC, CI/CD).
• Strong solution architecture skills, with the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to business partners.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, security architecture, application hosting, and IAM.
• Demonstrated leadership: leading delivery squads, mentoring engineers, or line management.
• Experience in technical leadership.
• A passion for building better platforms.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Exposure to data mesh architectures and federated data ownership models.
• Familiarity with graph databases (Neo4j, Cognite) and AI/ML platforms (Aera, AWS Bedrock, LLM frameworks).
• Full-stack engineering proficiency (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js) for self-service portals.
