As a Lead Consultant (Aternity Service Engineer), you'll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting End User Experience Tools & Services. Your expertise will be crucial in planning, analyzing, designing, developing, testing, and implementing solutions that transform our ability to develop life-changing medicines. Collaborate closely with third-party suppliers and provide recommendations on improvements while supervising performance and supporting maintenance of deployed solutions. Accountabilities
- Develop technical expertise and share knowledge with project and service teams working on Enterprise IT Management Tools & Systems.
- Drive enablement and capability plans for technology administration within service teams.
- Propel IT value through clear enablement and capability plans.
- Support technical design reviews, ensuring consistency to AZ Architecture Roadmap, Information Services Strategy, High-Level Designs, and regulatory standards.
- Lead the preparation of cases, Request for Proposals, supplier selection, and proposal evaluation.
- Drive infrastructure solutions aligned with target benefits and expected value.
- Spearhead the design, development, configuration, and documentation of infrastructure components.
- Gather and leverage management reporting information on existing infrastructure solutions and services.
- Perform maintenance and support activities, routine analysis, and evaluation on resource requirements to maintain or expand service levels.
- Support problem investigations within existing solutions using ITIL principles.
- Identify and propose innovative solutions to improve service performance.
- Provide 3rd level hands-on configuration, management, and fix as the technology SME.
- Steward vendor & platform management (e.g., Riverbed) in line with AZ standards.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Relevant qualifications/experience in End User Experience Management tooling; notably the Riverbed stack
- Evidence of designing, implementation, and integration of innovative infrastructure management system and services
- Prior experience in an Information Services/Information Technology environment with good eye for business
- Demonstrable experience of managing relationships with 3rd party suppliers
- Experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Superb communication, facilitation, and collaborator engagement skills
- Familiarity with working in an international, multi-time zone support environment
- Good communication skills supporting joint working with geographically remote colleagues
- Consistent record of designing, engineering, and supporting enterprise management and monitoring tooling
- Design and develop tools/applications integration solutions
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
- Demonstrate strong cyber security awareness in the application of service and technology management
- Proven, excellent industry experience and ability to interact effectively and lead technology roadmaps with 3rd parties
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Well versed in ITIL practices and process
- Good understanding of IT Service Management Processes
- Background in large-scale enterprise or regulated environments
- Demonstrate initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural working
- Experience in working with IT Infrastructure Management Tools, APIs & Integration
- Experience in scripting languages like JavaScript, PHP, Python, Perl, etc.
- Experience working with lean principles such as kaizen, genba, tier metric management/six sigma
- Experience with Observability technologies such as Splunk
