This role sits within the Oncology Business Unit, specifically supporting the Oncology Market Access and Pricing (OMAP) team in the UK. The successful candidate will provide broad department support to several team members.

The global OMAP group is an experienced team of specialists with many different skills, aligned to a common objective – we shape the payer environment; create and deliver highly valued market access solutions to unlock the potential of our life-changing medicines for patients.

The ideal candidate will possess a high level of organizational and communication skills and pride themselves on their attention to detail and the ability to persevere to see all tasks through to completion.

Essential is a friendly, flexible, and approachable manner, as the role will act as a team hub in the office. The role will work alongside a team of Admins within OMAP, Global Market Access and Pricing, and the broader Oncology Business Unit, so there is in place a great support network for the role.

Accountabilities

• Extensive diary management with the ability to seamlessly prioritize; working with other stakeholders where necessary to resolve conflicts and scheduling across multiple time zones using company technology i.e., MS Teams and Zoom
• Collaborate with HR to schedule interviews and establish contact with candidates once appointed, to ensure equipment ordered and key stakeholder introductions are scheduled. Take ownership of onboarding new starters
• Proactive planning of travel arrangements and processing expense claims in line with compliance policy limits, using Concur
• Assist the team with the setup of virtual, f2f, and hybrid meetings and events, from implementation to support at the event (where necessary)
• Work with the team to ensure their projects are correctly entered onto the system for contracting projects, ensuring statement of work and budgeting is in line with purchase order requirements. Work with the OBU Requisition Center and Finance Direct for any financial administration queries e.g., invoice and budgeting and being confident in the use of our p2p cloud system, Coupa
• Effectively coordinate and collaborate with other assistants within AstraZeneca on cross-functional and cross-organizational meetings/events/processes
• Other general administrative tasks/projects as required

Essential Skills/Experience

• Proven experience of providing full PA/administrative support to senior leaders
• Ability to think beyond boundaries of own job, challenge status quo and seek opportunities for continuous improvement
• Excellent team working, networking and influencing skills with ability to engage relevant AstraZeneca staff and leaders at all levels
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize workload, plan ahead and multi-task
• Good time management, pro-activity, flexibility and attention to detail working to the highest standards of accuracy and presentation
• Goals and solution oriented, demonstrating initiative and proactivity in the provision of support provided
• Assertiveness and strong personal resilience
• Confident and experienced user of Microsoft Office, online cloud storage i.e., SharePoint and Box, as well as MS Teams and Zoom for meetings
• Numerate and accurate
• High level of confidentiality and discretion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
