Accountabilities

As a member of our cutting-edge team dedicated to developing cell models, you will apply innovative editing methods to modify disease-relevant cells. Collaborate with our global precise genome editing community and external partners to enhance CRISPR methods for preclinical model generation. Maintain scientific excellence by presenting data to key partners internally and at external conferences. Join AstraZeneca’s Discovery Sciences unit, where you will be part of a community of scientists with broad technological expertise dedicated to drug discovery.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • BSc or MSc in cell biology, molecular biology or equivalent experience

  • Experience of culture and manipulation of cell lines

  • Strong experimental design and problem-solving skills

  • Scientific excellence as shown by previous work, publication history and references from mentors

  • Excellent team working, communication and networking skills with experience of interacting effectively across different field, cultural, and expertise boundaries.

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Experience in Oncology signaling pathways

  • Experience of CRISPR/Cas9, genome editing and stable cell engineering

  • Experience in endogenous tagging

  • Experience of cell-based assays and high content imaging to measure disease-relevant phenotypes

  • Experience of NGS and NGS data analysis
