What you’ll do
As an MSL, you will act as a scientific expert, ensuring the highest level of scientific exchange with healthcare professionals, as well as supporting internal teams in upholding AstraZeneca’s commitment to scientific excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide scientific support for the product portfolio and pipeline collaborating closely with sales and marketing teams.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with key customers in the specialty area, facilitating continuous medical and scientific dialogue.
- Plan and conduct scientific consultations (average three per day) with physicians as agreed with your supervisor.
- Present up-to-date scientific information at local and regional events and actively represent AstraZeneca at congresses.
- Organize and present scientific content, perform literature surveillance, and prepare insightful literature summaries as assigned.
- Deliver educational sessions and ongoing scientific training for medical representatives, ensuring high standards of knowledge and performance.
- Manage all job-related administration, including planning and reporting scientific consultations, mapping scientific inquiries, and liaising with internal teams.
- Address complex medical and scientific queries, draft scientific materials, and actively use standardized responses in compliance with copyright and regulatory requirements.
- Support clinical research activities and execute special focus visits, in alignment with strategies developed with management.
- Ensure compliance with AZ internal policies, codes of conduct, and all relevant local and European regulations
Your profile
- Medical or Pharmacist degree
- Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in pharmaceutical commercial and/or medical roles
- Strong commitment to medical/scientific communication
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to think strategically and work independently
- High level of responsibility and awareness
- Conversational level of English
- Advanced user-level computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook)
- Category B driving license and several years’ reliable driving experience
- Willingness to travel within Hungary
