Global Director Patient and Consumer Experience - Weight Management

Within BBU CVRM, we have established a Commercial unit focusing on Weight Management and T2D. Our ambition is to deliver a portfolio of simple, scalable, and sustainable solutions that improve health and wellbeing, reduce cardiometabolic risk and protect organs for people living with diabetes, overweight, and/or obesity.
To support this ambition, we are seeking an experienced commercial talent to lead the development and execution of the global integrated patient and consumer strategy across obesity and weight-related cardiometabolic conditions.
The role reports to the Global Commercial VP Weight Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Strategy: refine, own and rollout the patient strategy, incl. patient segmentation, patient journeys, and vision for patient experience and strategic priorities
- Consumer Go To Market strategy: define optimal engagement and care model for self-pay patients
- Patient and consumer Insights: Partner with the IAF team to develop an ambitious patient & consumer insights generation plan, create a leading consumer data infrastructure
- Products and solutions development: Be the champion for patient needs and experience in product development teams. Lead the development of support solutions and direct care offerings for patients to manage their disease and their treatment
- Launch readiness and capabilities: Guide Regions and Markets to build capabilities and teams supporting best-in-class patient and consumer experience
Qualifications/Industry/Functional Experience:
Required:
- BA/BS Degree
- 10+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical/ biotech development and commercialization
- Must have successfully launched brands at a global level
- Proven strong pre-launch and launch excellence knowledge and skill in Marketing
- Demonstrated success working in marketing teams to deliver effective commercial brand strategies, compelling business cases.
- Deep understanding of customer journey mapping, customer insight, and a proven track record of successful customer experience strategies.
- Knowledge of UX and behavioural science desired.
- Leadership and change management skills to drive and inspire the team to create the best customer experience.
- Strong working knowledge of forecasting, market research, useful insight generation, and competitive landscape analysis and interpretation
- Strong knowledge of global promotional campaigns and new product launches
- Sound internal and external collaborator/partner engagement skills with demonstrated ability to seamlessly navigate scientific and commercial organizations to drive favorable business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to influence laterally and vertically
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication/presentation skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated mindset of scientific curiosity, empathy, collaborative, innovative, problem-solver, champion for patients
Desirable Skills:
- An advanced degree (MBA, MSc or PhD)
- Experience in OTC or eCommerce desired. Experience building pharma commercial partnerships a plus.
Travel
- International travel ~10-20%
The annual base pay for this position ranges from $229,303 to $343,955. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
