Associate Director, Clinical Development Operations
The Associate Director, Clinical Development Scientist will be responsible for managing the operations of the Clinical Development Department. This role involves collaborating closely with the Therapeutic Area (TA) Head on special projects, overseeing timelines and budget management to ensure the efficient and effective execution of clinical development programs.
You will be responsible for:
- Manage the daily operations of the Clinical Development Department.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize departmental processes and workflow.
- Collaborate with the TA Head on special projects, providing scientific and operational expertise.
- Oversee project timelines and ensure milestones are met.
- Manage departmental budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide guidance and support to clinical development staff in the execution of their roles.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, regulatory bodies, and key opinion leaders.
- Communicate project updates and outcomes to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
You will need to have:
- Doctoral (PhD or equivalent) degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Proven track record in clinical development and operations management or related fields
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent project management abilities with a focus on timelines and budget control.
- Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
- In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and clinical trial processes.
- Experience working in a global environment.
- Prior experience in therapeutic areas relevant to the organization.
