Responsibilities
Join our Data Analytics and AI (DA&AI) team within Operations IT to drive innovation in a leading pharmaceutical company. We are seeking a technology-driven leader to spearhead the development of cutting-edge Data and AI products, leveragingData Mesh architecture, Semantic Layers, and AI/ML to transform manufacturing operations.
As a Technical product lead which is Director level position in Data Analytics & AI teams, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy, driving the development of scalable, high-impact AI solutions such as AI-powered predictive maintenance, Smart Factory automation, Factory Flow Visualization, and GenAI-based innovations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that data-driven initiatives align with business objectives and enable the next generation of intelligent manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Leadership – Define and implement Data Mesh architecture, Semantic Layers, and AI/ML strategies to build scalable and reusable data products for manufacturing.
End-to-End Data & AI Product Development – Lead the development of technical data and AI solutions, ensuring they align with business goals and digital transformation initiatives.
AI-Powered Innovation – Drive the adoption of AI/ML models, predictive analytics, and generative AI to optimize manufacturing efficiency, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Data Architecture & Engineering – Oversee the design and implementation of enterprise data platforms, real-time analytics pipelines, and data governance frameworks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with business and IT leaders, aligning data strategies with manufacturing, digital transformation, and sustainability objectives.
Agile Execution – Break down feature epics into technical deliverables, manage dependencies, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality, scalable AI and data products.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation – Stay at the forefront of emerging data & AI technologies, conducting research and driving innovation in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Data-Driven Decision Making – Leverage advanced analytics and AI to optimizeresource allocation, production efficiency, and business insights.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Deep expertise in Data Analytics, AI/ML, and Digital Products within a Data Mesh and Semantic Layer framework.
Strong experience in data engineering, analytics platforms, and scalable AI model deployment.
Proven track record of leading complex AI, ML, and data product development initiatives.
Hands-on experience in building AI/ML-driven solutions such as predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and smart automation.
Proficiency in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including cloud-based data architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), big data processing frameworks, and MLOps.
Strong technical leadership with the ability to drive AI/ML adoption across manufacturing operations.
Experience working in Agile environments, managing cross-functional teams, and collaborating with business stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s, MBA, or PhD in AI, Data Science, or a related field.
Experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, or Sustainability-driven AI solutions.
Expertise in DataOps, MLOps, and AI governance best practices.
Strong background in Product Management & AI/ML Solution Architecture.
Experience in a large multinational enterprise with a focus on data-driven digital transformation.
