As a member of the Transformation Management Office, this role plays a pivotal part in supporting key transformation and improvement projects within our R&D BioPharma Clinical Operations function and across R&D. These projects may vary in scope and complexity, providing a global remit and a wide runway for value addition. You'll contribute to the maintenance of project management standards by executing against project management tasks and deliverables. This exciting role offers the opportunity to engage with various aspects of the business and work on innovative, thought-provoking projects.
Reporting to the Head of Transformation Management, you will be accountable for supporting various projects under the guidance of Project Managers. In addition to project work, you will support the Head of TMO with departmental and function related initiatives, focused on internal delivery.
The project management coordinator’s prime responsibility is to ensure that the projects they support produce the required products within the specified tolerances of time, cost, quality, scope, benefits and risk. The project management coordinatoris accountable to the delivery of specific project management artifacts as directed by the Program Manager(s).
Accountable
Support the Head of TMO and the wider group on activities related to project management, across multiple programs, as well as any internal TMO activities.
Support large-scale projects directly by executing against key deliverables
Manage and prepare baseline project management products, in conjunction with any project assurance roles, including project briefs(including the project description), project plans, charters, risk registers, RAID logs, etc.
May be required to support with project status reporting and other project update mechanisms (i.e. presentation deck creation and contribution)
Work directly with Project Management team and the Transformation Management team to execute against specific project-related deliverables
Essential criteria:
Degree in business or scientific field (or Project Management related field)
Exper in ienceprogramme/project management
Skilled in MS Office Suite (Powerpoint, Excel, MS Project, MS Word) and other project tracking softwares (i.e. Smartsheet)
Demonstrate strong communication and relationship building skills
Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language and in alignment with AstraZeneca business
Proven track record in delivering high risk programme/projects and decision making
Ability to influence and manage negotiations across a complex group
Desirable criteria:
Experience withtransformation projects
Foundational understanding of organizational operations andprocesses with a significant emphasis on R&D
Formal qualifications in project management, change management, and/or process improvement methodologies.
Experience working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context
Pharmaceutical Industry experience
