The Global Sales & Operational Excellence team forms part of Global Insight & Business Excellence, playing a critical role in defining the roadmap for future success. Ensuring that the required SFE capabilities are developed across the BBU.

Accountabilities:
As Director, Global Sales & Account innovation, we are seeking a visionary candidate whose primary responsibility is to shape the future of AstraZeneca's commercial field force strategy. This role emphasizes:
- Innovation and Future Capabilities: Identifying and developing essential new capabilities that will enable our organization to thrive in the coming years.
- Reimagining the Future: Envisioning the ideal AstraZeneca commercial field-based profiles and roles of the future.
- Strategic Development and Recruitment: Crafting strategic and impactful approaches to develop existing talent as well as recruit new talent aligned with our future goals.
This will be a pivotal role in redefining the future of our sales team and ensure AstraZeneca's continued success.
You will forge a strong relationship and collaboration with the Global Launch Leads, Global Brand teams and key X-functional teams in MCs ranging from HR, IBEX, FLSMs, SLSMs, Franchise heads and BUDs across geographies in the BBU. In addition, you will work collaboratively with the wider Global Sales and Operational excellence team to achieve ambition 2030.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Sales and Operational Excellence, you will work closely together to realize this ambition.
Expertise Required:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business mgt., marketing or Life Sciences
- Minimum of 8 years in the pharmaceutical industry, global and in market roles
- Sales Leadership and/or sales force training experience
- 5+ years expertise applying strategic thought leadership, driving principled commercial execution, enterprise thinking, agility and facilitating cultural change in teams
- Confirmed experience leading high level strategic business initiatives
- Experience driving business innovation at scale, including new skills and ways of working
- Ability to work across geographies and cultures
- Effectively interact and build strong partnerships with colleagues and senior leaders from different functions
- Ability to lead the development, design, and delivery of training
