Accountabilities

As the Franchise Lead, you will spearhead the commercial team and drive the strategic and tactical plan for the GI franchise. You will be responsible for forecasting brand opportunities and collaborating with market access teams for launch processes. Your role will involve providing sales and marketing leadership, driving innovation across all brands within the franchise, and ensuring success for patients, healthcare providers, and AstraZeneca. You will develop and inspire your team to innovate and compete effectively through cohesive global and local cross-functional collaboration. Compliance, alignment with global standards, and a patient-focused approach are key to your responsibilities. 

Other responsibilities include understanding patient perspectives and market insights to deliver competitive strategic marketing plans, implementing cross-functional account planning and customer engagement strategies, leading capability development within the sales and marketing team, and managing the budget for the function.

Essential Skills/Experience

- Degree level qualification, preferably in Science, Medicine, Business, or other relevant area
- Proven experience in a senior level Marketing function, in the Pharmaceutical Industry
- Proven experience in managing teams directly or indirectly
- Proven experience in working cross-functionally
- In-depth knowledge of account planning & customer engagement programmes and processes
- Strong understanding of local healthcare system pricing & reimbursement
- Strong focus on effective decision-making and delivering results

Desirable Skills/Experience

- Solid knowledge of Oncology
- Marketing experience
- Hospital sales management experience
